Hey y’all, my name is Nike Matney and this is Marvin the Martian. He is my familiar and my best friend. He is a Blue Russian, 5 years old.

Recent changes in life and Marvin’s new behaviors (limping, growls, hissing, hiding, low energy)made me think about getting him a check-up, so as any good cat mom would do, I scheduled the appointment and took him in on Friday, August 15. They ran labs for urine and blood, and both came back normal. They did a physical check of his teeth/mouth, and he has gingivitis. When the doctor palpated Marvin, he didn’t react at all, but then when I pick him up at home, he howls. Marvin has been hiding more than normal, not his energetic self, and staying in most of the day now. He’s stretching normal-ish and has been extra cuddly the last couple days. Eating and drinking seem to be normal right now. I haven’t been able to track his stools.

I’m starting this campaign to raise funds for my little dude because I wouldn’t be where I am today if it weren’t for him sitting by my side through it all. I desire to get him the healthcare HE deserves, I just need some help to make it happen right now. Thank you for the assistance!
