We wanted to share a new update on Marvin’s journey. His most recent oncology visit brought a mix of encouraging and concerning news. The tumor on his tongue has shown near resolution, which is a blessing we’re deeply grateful for. However, the lesion in his throat is still present — and may be beginning to grow again. His care team is monitoring this closely as they determine next steps. Marvin is still living alone and doing his best to stay active and positive, even though the first round of treatment took a heavy toll on him physically. To help make ends meet, he’s been driving for DoorDash and Uber. It’s exhausting work for someone going through palliative chemo, but he continues to push forward with the same quiet determination he’s always had. We also want to address a recent hiccup: a mix‑up with Marvin’s bank accounts caused several of the latest donations to be automatically returned to donors. The issue has now been fully resolved, and the GoFundMe is once again connected to a working account. If your donation was returned, please know it wasn’t due to lack of need or appreciation — it was simply a banking error during a very overwhelming time.
