NEW UPDATE 2026

After bravely battling Stage 4 cancer and achieving remission, the Walker's recently received the heartbreaking news that Marvin's cancer has returned. As they prepare for the next phase of treatment, they are facing overwhelming financial challenges on top of an already devastating diagnosis.

Recently, he was laid off from his job and has exhausted his savings while trying to keep up with medical expenses and provide for his family. He has applied for unemployment, but those benefits will not come close to covering their mortgage, daily living expenses, travel costs, lodging, and other expenses associated with treatment.

Despite their determination to fight this disease, they are facing the very real possibility of having to sell their home and relocate simply to stay afloat financially.

In just a few weeks, he will begin a five-week course of radiation treatments at Mayo Clinic. This will require extensive travel and time away from home, creating even more financial strain for their family.

If you are able, please consider donating to help ease some of the burden during this difficult time. Every contribution, no matter the amount, will go toward helping this family focus on what matters most—his health, treatment, and precious time with his wife and children.

If you're unable to donate, please consider sharing this fundraiser and keeping their family in your thoughts and prayers. Your support means more than words can express.

Thank you for your kindness, generosity, and support.

Dear Family, Friends and Kind Hearts,

We are reaching out during a profoundly challenging time for the Walker family. On April 12th, 2024, they received the heartbreaking news that Marvin, a beloved husband to Casie Reed-Walker, a devoted father of 4 to, Delaney(15), Pierce(12), Merrick(3) and Stellan(8 months), and dearest friend, has been diagnosed with Stage 4 Prostate Cancer with a Gleason score of 9, which is very aggressive. It has spread to his lymph nodes and up to his throat. Local doctors gave him a life expectancy of 4-5 years. But they said, no, we are going to fight! The chemo and hormone medicine worked well the first half, but they weren’t as happy with it the second half. So, they have now moved on to Pluvicto, a liquid radiation that goes straight to the cancer cells. He will begin treatment November 5th at the Mayo Clinic in Minnesota. As you can imagine, this has been a devastating blow, not only emotionally but also financially.

Marvin and his family have always been the first to lend a hand to others, and now it’s our turn to help them. The costs of treatment, medical bills, and everyday expenses are quickly piling up, creating an overwhelming burden during an already difficult time. We are hoping to ease their financial strain and allow them to focus on what truly matters: Fighting this battle together as a family!

Any contribution, no matter how small, can make a significant difference. Your support will help cover medical expenses, transportation to and from appointments in Minnesota, and other essential needs. Any support you can provide, whether it’s a donation or simply sharing to others, would mean the world to us!

Thank you for your kindness, generosity, and support during this incredibly tough time. Together, we can help Marvin and his family with hope and strength through this fight, showing them, they are not alone!

With heartfelt gratitude,
Caleb & Katelyn Reed
(Brother and Sister-in-law of Casie Reed-Walker)
