Hey PC Pirates -

Lets help out a great teacher, mentor, friend and colleague- Marvin K Douglas! He does NOT know about this and is probably going to kill me, but sometimes you just need to accept help.

I want to respect his privacy, so I will limit my description.

Marvin retired from PC and moved down to TX after winning multiple battles with cancer. A couple of years ago he was forced to come back to MN to deal with some ongoing health issues and the progression of his diabetes. Unfortunately, since then he has lost his eyesight and become legally blind.

Marvin has made is world real small since then and needs a hand up out of his "slump". The great news is that we have found him new housing that will allow for a much safer environment and to get support on learning to live independently. Here is where I am asking for your help:

Marvin needs new things for his new place, he needs new items that are safe and will help him stay healthy. I have created a FB page where I have a list of items that he needs, but I wanted to create this page if you have the means to donate to the cause. It does not need to be much, $5-$10 from a bunch of us alumni will make a big difference.

It seems crazy to me that someone who worked so hard for so long, gave so much of himself to his community and not have more options and support. "It takes a village" and I think that right now we could be Marvins village -
