On June 8th, my Dad, Marty, was involved in an accident. He was hit from behind on the freeway and was pushed into the center divider. He was taken to the hospital and thankfully was released the same day. He had bruising on his arm from the air bags and is still experiencing some discomfort in his neck and back. While he is okay, my parents' car was unfortunately determined totaled by their insurance. The other driver's insurance is only enough to cover her car and my parents' insurance is only offering them a very minimal amount after everything was finished. This leaves them in an impossible situation and they have no financial means to get into a car with being on a very limited income.

Those who know my parents know just how selfless they are. They would never want to ask for help, but I am taking that step for them. While they currently have a dear friend lending them a car, this is temporary and they don’t want to overextend the friend’s generosity. I’m asking for help to get them a small down payment to put on a car. Any amount given would be greatly appreciated and would go to them getting a used car to replace the one that was lost.
