Her name is Martina. She's 23 years old. A brilliant and powerful woman, she has a major on nursery school and behalf of everything she's going through lately she tries to keep working and fulfill her duties day by day. On March 14 she suffers a Brain Stroke according to her presumptive diagnosis was Cerebral infarction (I63 - CIE-10). Since there she was trying to keep her daily life on a regular basis, but with the first episode, she suffers a deeply body and face paralysis that impact her left side of the body having to attend to physical rehab and speech therapy. With the preview complex diagnosis her family had to change the hospital and physician’s treatments without medical coverage for them to do it. BUT LIFE IS THE MOST IMPORTANT THING so they're trying to cover all the medical expenses since then.

The new physicians developed a medical care plan that includes a lumbar puncture, EKG (Electrocardiogram), 24-hour Holter monitor exam, MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging), LAB Tests and many drug prescriptions that includes Plain Lidocaine for the pain, Topiramate as an anticonvulsant and Rosuvastatin to prevent other Stroke.

SINCE THEN, THINGS GOT CHANGE and the New Neurologist extend a presumptive diagnosis of MULTIPLE SCLEROSIS (MS). An autoimmune disease.

Unfortunately, things got worst and she began to experience some dizziness and extreme tiredness which doesn't allow her to continue with her normal workdays and normal life. By the way she's an English teacher in a private school back in her town.

In her town she doesn't has access for a quality public treatment and she needs to cover all the future expenses and the medical expenses her family tried to cover so far.

Se llama Martina. Tiene 23 años. Una mujer brillante y llena de energía, se especializó en educación infantil y, a pesar de todo lo que está pasando últimamente, intenta seguir trabajando y cumpliendo con sus obligaciones día a día. El 14 de marzo sufrió un derrame cerebral, según el diagnóstico presuntivo: infarto cerebral (I63 - CIE-10). Desde entonces, intentó mantener una vida normal, pero con el primer episodio, sufrió una profunda parálisis corporal y facial que afectó el lado izquierdo del cuerpo, lo que le obligó a asistir a rehabilitación física y terapia de lenguaje. Con el diagnóstico complejo, su familia tuvo que cambiar de hospital y de médico, sin cobertura médica. Pero la vida es lo más importante, así que desde entonces están tratando de cubrir todos los gastos médicos. Los nuevos médicos desarrollaron un plan de atención médica que incluye punción lumbar, electrocardiograma (ECG), monitor Holter de 24 horas, resonancia magnética (RM), análisis de laboratorio y diversas prescripciones de medicamentos, como lidocaína simple para el dolor, topiramato como anticonvulsivo y rosuvastatina para prevenir otros accidentes cerebrovasculares.

DESDE ENTONCES, LA SITUACIÓN CAMBIÓ y el nuevo neurólogo le extendió un diagnóstico presuntivo de ESCLEROSIS MÚLTIPLE (EM), una enfermedad autoinmune.

Desafortunadamente, la situación empeoró y comenzó a experimentar mareos y cansancio extremo, lo que le impide continuar con su trabajo y vida normal. Por cierto, es profesora de inglés en un colegio privado de su ciudad.

En su ciudad, no tiene acceso a un tratamiento público de calidad y necesita cubrir todos los gastos futuros y los gastos médicos que su familia ha intentado cubrir hasta ahora. Con toda su vida por delante, anhelamos un milagro para ella y dependemos de ti para que también lo logres.
