Hi everyone,
We are reaching out during one of the hardest moments our family has ever faced. After investigating a stubborn back ache, our mother, Martina Bajalia, was diagnosed with Stage 4 EGFR-mutated lung cancer in 2021, and her world was turned upside down. Over the coming months, we discovered the cancer started in her lungs & spread to her bones. She underwent Chemo Therapy & Radiation for the inoperable portions of the cancer, and had 15% of her lung removed. Now in 2026, the cancer is encroaching on her brain.
Martina is a loving mother, a source of strength for all of us, and someone who has always put others before herself; now, she needs our help. Since 2021, she has been fighting this disease tooth and nail. Unfortunately, she has reached a point in her cancer journey where she is unable to work. We are supporting her the best we can, but we need help doing so.
She starts Chemo for the second time in five years (third time in her life) again on Monday. The cost of treatment and medications is overwhelming. We are trying to raise $15,000 to cover the cost of her first cancer treatment and ensure she continues to get the care she needs without delay.
Every single donation - big or small - will have a huge impact on Martina's care and quality of life as she continues to fearlessly face this insidious disease.
As a family, we are holding onto hope and our faith in God. We are so grateful for any support, prayers, or kindness you can offer.
A sincere thank you from the bottom of our hearts,
The Bajalia Family
