Hi friends and family,
February of 2024, my mom, Martina Razo, was diagnosed with ovarian cancer and had a major surgery to remove the cancerous tumor. While still recovering from her surgery, she went through 3 rounds of chemotherapy to, as her doctor put it, "be sure" they had gotten it all. It was a very difficult recovery, but my mom's unwavering faith and all of your prayers and support helped her (and us) through it all. We were all very hopeful that would be the end of her cancer chapter.
Unfortunately, earlier this year, we found out that her cancer was back...in a way. New to us and her doctors, but not new to her body as her original tumor had been comprised of 2 types of ovarian cancer, one of which was not originally caught. The news rocked us all as you can imagine and even more so as we found out that the cancer she is facing now is more aggressive. We are holding onto so much hope that God will see her through this again. My mom has now started chemotherapy and immunotherapy. This time she will get 6 rounds of chemotherapy+immunotherapy and additional immunotherapy in between. Her doctor and his team are confident that this is the right treatment for her at the time and we pray that her body responds to this treatment.
Many of you have asked me, my brother, and my parents how you can help. As you can imagine, medical bills have been coming in from last year's battle and they will continue to come in as she goes through this a second time. Finances can be stressful to anyone, but no one going through medical issues should have to worry about that. What my parents need the most is to be focusing on my mom's health. If you feel moved to give, no matter how small, we would be endlessly grateful. Every dollar will go directly toward my mom's medical expenses and helping my parents in any need they may have while my mom goes through this battle. We are praying — deeply — and we ask that you continue to pray with us.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts,
Angie Forrester
