Hello friends and family.
As some of you may already know, my step-dad, Martin San Miguel, has recently had a fall in July of this year, 2024, and had multiple serious injuries as a result of the fall, one being a broken neck. When he was in the hospital after the fall, they did a scan of his neck to see how bad the break was. When they did this scan, they noticed the lump on his left shoulder that Marty was previously told was a pulled muscle, was actually a cancer called Liposarcoma. He was supposed to undergo chemo and radiation treatments to help shrink the tumor so he could have it surgically removed. Before chemo could start, other health issues arose, resulting in multiple hospital stays and an overall decline in health. He has gone into kidney failure and heart failure and retained 40 pounds of water weight, which they are trying to resolve in order for him to undergo his treatments to get rid of his Liposarcoma. It is very hard to see such a generous, happy, kind-hearted man go through this difficult time. Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers, and we all cannot wait to see him back on his feet.
We love you all and appreciate all the love and support you have shown Marty.
