Nance Pitzer here -- Marti and Lowell's sister (Lowell's sister-in-law, but I believe after a certain number of years, you get to drop the awkward part). Lowell passed away last Monday, February 10, 2025, as many of you know. Marti is devastated, having lost her husband, best friend, and soul mate.

Marti also has a rather drastic change in income on the immediate horizon. We (her family and friends) thought we would establish this GoFundMe page to address some of the financial squeeze that is approaching. The following are those immediate concerns towards which these funds will be put:

- Funds to pay for a memorial service for her husband, Lowell Semans, so that family and friends may gather and celebrate Lowell and all that he was and did during his life. Contributions will go towards the cost of the memorial service and burial.

- The rather old van, whose shelf life is running out, needs to be replaced. We'd like to get Marti a solid used car. One that gets good mileage and is in good shape.

- A nest egg towards any emergencies, and especially house repairs.

If you know people who know Marti and Lowell, or just Marti or just Lowell, if you would pass along the word about this GoFundMe page, we think that would be awesome! Apparently, word of mouth is the best way to get the word out to the different groups of people they associate with. Spread the word!
