Hi! My name is Martha. I’m a senior fashion design student at LSU. I’m so excited to begin creating my senior capstone collection featuring 6 looks for women and 2 looks for men. “Picnic Date” is inspired by vintage silhouettes, incorporating trendy styles, whimsical motifs, and maximalist fun. These looks are perfect for garden parties, brunch dates, gallery visits, and springtime strolls.

I challenged myself by designing fabric prints for this collection, but it’s expensive to print on fabric and this collection will require 40+ yards. I plan on ordering through Contrado, which is $30-$50 a yard to print on the satin fabric ideal for this collection. Embellishments include hand beading, customized hats, and fabric-covered hardware.
