Hello, I'm Juan, Lead Organizer of H1gh Hikers. Our group has hosted annual Cancer Awareness Hikes to spread awareness.

I'm starting this GoFundMe campaign to help my aunt, Martha Irene Martinez de Lara, cover upcoming treatment costs this holiday season. Any contribution, big or small , will make a difference.

Cancer runs in our family and has taken a few of our family members throughout the years. Martha was diagnosed in November 2024 and has been fighting bravely since then, undergoing surgery, chemotherapy, and monthly shots. Without medical insurance in El Salvador where she lives, every expense is out-of-pocket.

We've been sending funds for expenses to help her through this journey for almost a year, and it's been an uphill battle to beat cancer. Any contribution will help us continue to support her.

On October 25th, H1gh Hikers and Women Lifting Each Other Up will host a hike to raise awareness and funds for Martha's future treatments. Your support will help Martha fight cancer one day at a time.

Estoy iniciando esta campaña de GoFundMe para ayudar a mi tía, Martha Irene Martinez de Lara, a cubrir los costos de tratamiento próximos durante esta temporada festiva. Cualquier contribución, grande o pequeña , hará una diferencia.

El cáncer es hereditario en nuestra familia y ha afectado a varios de nuestros familiares a lo largo de los años. Martha fue diagnosticada en noviembre de 2024 y ha estado luchando valientemente desde entonces, sometiéndose a cirugía, quimioterapia y inyecciones mensuales. Sin seguro médico en El Salvador, donde vive, cada gasto es de bolsillo.

Hemos estado enviando fondos para gastos para ayudarla en este viaje durante casi un año, y ha sido una batalla cuesta arriba para vencer el cáncer. Cualquier contribución nos ayudará a seguir apoyándola.

El 25 de octubre, H1gh Hikers y Women Lifting Each Other Up organizarán una caminata para recaudar conciencia y fondos para los tratamientos futuros de Martha. Su apoyo ayudará a Martha a luchar contra el cáncer un día a la vez.
