Hi, my name is Martaz’Shia Gibbs, and I’m incredibly proud to share that I’ve been accepted into Southern University Law Center (SULC) in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, where I will begin law school in Fall 2025.

This journey is deeply personal to me. I’m a first-generation college graduate, holding a Bachelor’s in Criminology from the University of South Florida and a Master’s in Public Administration from Texas Southern University.

My long-term goal is to serve as Chief of a Special Victims Unit (SVU) and eventually become an Assistant Attorney General (AAG) – Criminal Division / Special Prosecutions, overseeing sex crimes and human trafficking cases at the state level.

Why I Need Your Support

While I’m grateful to have earned a spot at SULC, the financial cost of pursuing a legal education is significant. The total cost of attendance for an out-of-state 1L student is $64,724—and this amount is based on last year’s tuition. Costs are expected to rise in the 2025–2026 school year.
