Support Marta Melendez's Fight Against Cancer

Recently, our lives have been turned upside with the news, that our beloved aunt, has been diagnosed with Stage 4 Triple Negative Metastatic Breast Cancer. One moment, we were planning a family trip, and in the next, she was being rushed to the hospital. It has spread to her liver and she has a lesion in her brain. She will be starting treatment immediately in hopes to contain the spreading.

Marta Melendez is a caregiver to her mother, the baby sister to her two siblings, mother to 4 beautiful young women, grandmother, aunt, and friend to all. She is the type of person who will invite you to Thanksgiving dinner after 5 minutes of meeting you. Her favorite thing is to have a house full of people who she could cook for and spend time with. She is the perfect example of someone who fully appreciates what life has to offer. She loves spur of the moment trips and she would rather take a 16 hour drive to enjoy the beauty of her surroundings, than to jump on a plane. When you're with her, no matter where you are, you feel home.

She is so much more than this diagnosis. This cancer will not define her. It will not be who she is, but just another chapter in her story, another obstacle that she will fight and overcome. Unfortunately, with sickness comes financial burden. She just bought her home a couple years ago where our grandmother also resides. We are asking for assistance to help with the financial hardship that is to come.

We hope, that with all your support, we can be a beacon of hope in her darkest moments. Her daughters, along with the rest of our family thank you in advance for your generosity, your prayers, and support during this difficult time.
