I'm fundraising for Marta Mari. She had a house fire the afternoon of Sunday, October 20.

A word from her son, Dharma:

This fund-raiser is for my mother, Marta Mari. On October 20th, she suffered froma house fire causing severe smoke and heat damage to the entire home. Starting on the stairs in the middle of the house, it quickly engulfed the house in smoke; luckily, neither my mom nor anyone else was home at the time. The ample concern of neighbors close by, lead to a quick response from the fire department, allowing them to prevent a lot of damage and keep the house standing. We are more than thankful to the neighbors who showed concern and the firefighters who swiftly and safely put out the fire, as well as to anyone who generously donated. All these donations will be going to cleaning, restoring and replacing all that has been lost or damaged.

For those of you that know my mother, you knowshe puts everyone above herself and is always there to support her friends and loved ones. I can't explain in words how good of a mom she is, and what really matters is that she is safe. I know that everyone has suffered loss and tragedy and knows that some things can't be replaced, but with the help you can provide, my mother can have her home back. I cant show enough appreciation for that.

As stated, donations are worth every penny but never expected.
