Support Marsha's Recovery from Severe Injuries

My friend, Marsha had a terrible accident and fell down a 24-step, wooden stairwell (no, not drinking—she doesn’t drink).

She has been suffering from bilateral skull fractures, multiple facial fractures, a brain bleed, a massive concussion, a fractured left hand, and hearing loss in her right ear. A lot!

Not only that, she is not getting paid for her time off from work and the bills are piling up. She is worried about how she will continue to pay her mortgage.

I want to tell you a little bit about Marsha. I met her on July 12, 2021, when I had to go in for an infusion for COVID. I am a Valley Fever survivor and COVID can be very dangerous for those of us with existing lung issues. At that same time, my husband had been admitted to the hospital on July 11th and was placed on a ventilator on July 12th. Needless to say, I was a MESS!

I had to drive my husband's truck down to Phoenix and figure out how to parallel park it! She answered every crazy question that I had on the phone and she even went outside when I arrived at St. Joe’s to see if I needed help parking the truck. She escorted me inside where I would remain for the next several hours. She comforted me and gave me unexplainable peace during the most unimaginable time of my life. We laughed, we talked, and carried on the entire time that I was there. There is NO describing what Marsha did for me on that day.

We immediately became friends and have been in touch since.

She is a nurse and is a giver by nature. Asking for help is NOT something that she wanted to do. Us “givers” are never prepared for situations where we NEED help. This is a time that Marsha could use a lot of prayers and some financial help to assist with paying her bills.
