Help Marsha Rebuild!!!

Marsha Byrd is a tough mountain woman - a powerhouse - and she takes care of so many people in her family. She is an artist, a potter, an outdoorswoman, an accountant, a mother, and a grandmother. She’s built so much with her bare hands and grit, and last week the storm threatened everything she has worked hard to build.

A fast moving landslide came and took down a building she had built for her studio and crushed her leg in the process as she attempted to move her car out of harms’ way. She dug herself out of the mud with two broken bones, dragged herself into the house and up a flight of stairs to save her toddler granddaughter, and carried her on a broken ankle to safety with family.

She made it through the storm and now she needs our assistance. She has been working so hard on building her house and pottery studio for so many years to see it badly damaged by the storms. We are asking for your help in the long process of rebuilding to come. This is a developing situation and needs are still hard to assess with so much still unknown about recovery for the whole area, but she will need help in the weeks and months to come. Anything you donate will go towards costs to rebuild her home and her dreams.
