Help Marshall the cat and her kittens!
Warning graphic image 5th slide.
Marshall went missing between Jan. 29th and 30th and was involved in an unknown incident, coming home with a broken left jaw, unable to eat and in pain. She recently had a litter of three kittens and was nursing them, which is dangerous in her fragile condition. Her caregiver, Shane, a high school senior, made a plea for help from the Philippines, who has limited vet access, funds, transportation, and support. Arrangements were made and funded by a small group of cat lovers, and Marshall was evaluated and stabilized. The initial photos of Marshall were very hard to see; I had to step in and try to help.
Marshall's vet, Dr. Oliver at Salah Veterinary Clinic, has been treating her and has a continuing plan for Marshall that we are asking for help with. She will be boarded at the vet's office for the next three days for treatment until swelling can subside and she can eat on her own. Surgery is not a viable option right now, but Dr. Oliver is optimistic that she will have a nearly normal life with a modification to her diet. We hope to get her healthy enough to spay (in the coming week) and to continue caring for her sweet kittens. We would also love to get the kittens fixed as soon as they're old enough.
Shane is bottle-feeding the kittens at home, which are estimated to be 4 weeks old. She is a sweet, caring student trying her best to care for this little family while juggling school. We would love to take some of the burden off her.
With your support, we can save mama Marshall and her kittens! Please see photos for vet information, itemized treatment plan, and the sweet cats. Funds are paid directly to the vet's office via Wise. Any amount is appreciated. A couple of dollars goes a long way. Thank you!
