My name is Annie Little and I am creating this GoFundMe on behalf of my Ojai neighbor Marsha Adams and her sweet dog, Jett. Tragically, on September 13, Marsha and Jett were involved in a serious car accident while taking a road trip along the central coast. Their van was hit on the driver side and Marsha had to be sawed out of the vehicle before being taken to the San Luis Obispo Trauma Center. As a result of the direct impact, Marsha suffered 12 broken ribs, a broken shoulder, and a broken finger. Jett badly broke her femur and underwent emergency surgery in Atascadero where the vet placed a plate and pin in her leg. Unfortunately, that surgery was poorly done, and the pin began protruding through her skin which led to a severe infection. A second surgery was done in Ventura to remove the pin and attempt to control the infection. Sadly, the infection was not able to be overcome, and Jett ended up needing a leg amputation in yet another surgery.

The good news is that Marsha and Jett are now back home in Ojai and recovering together. However, Jett's three surgeries have cost $25,000. Being a retired woman on a fixed income, Marsha has used significant savings in order to pay for these surgeries. We are reaching out to her friends and the lovely Ojai animal community to ask for support of a fellow animal lover. Thank you so much!
