Hello, my name is Tree. This is my younger brother, Marquelle Jackson. In the early morning hours of Sept 14th, while visiting our cousin's house in Little Village (Chicago), he was racially profiled and attacked by a group of young Hispanics who assumed he had gang affiliation because of his skin color leaving him unrecognizable , gangs in that area have anti blackness within them After telling the group that he isn't in a gang, they proceeded to beat and rob my brother, hitting him with guns, feet, and fists, leaving him for dead. God's grace led my brother back to my cousin's house, barely conscious.

My brother isn't a gang member. He recently moved back to Chicago from Indiana after finding out his son wasn't biologically his. This left my brother in serious depression. All he's done since being back is look for work and try to save money to build up his gaming station. He games to find his peace. He plans to use the money raised to buy the gaming setup he needs so he can focus on his passion and put this behind him, cover medical bills, therapy,and get an apartment. My family appreciates all the love and support during this time. Anything helps.
