Hello friends, family, and strangers. For those of you who don’t know me, I’m Marquan Buchanan, affectionately known as Quan. A 28-year-old veteran that has returned to school to pursue a degree in Theatre Arts at Clark Atlanta University. This is my FINAL SEMESTER! (insert applause here) I am in excellent academic standing with a 3.8 cumulative GPA. I have worked as a technical designer, actor, director, associate producer, and production assistant for multiple productions and projects. Out of all of my accomplishments in life so far, I am most proud of the work that I have done in film and theatre. My dream is to be an accomplished, award-winning actor and director. I love storytelling and connecting with my community. I also love networking and providing opportunities for those that deserve it. I cannot see myself doing anything else as a career. This is my purpose.
I am proud to have served this country and grateful for the benefits I currently receive. Those benefits cover 70% of tuition and fees. I am responsible for covering the remaining 30%. For the previous 5 semesters, I have diligently paid these expenses and Clark has blessed me with multiple scholarships. However, this semester I am not eligible to receive financial aid, and due to personal circumstances, I was not able to pay the balance for Fall 2025. I am humbly asking for your help to cover the 30% by January 20th. That is the deadline for me to register for classes. Once I pay the balance, I can request a scholarship for this semester, so that I can be academically enrolled and start a payment plan for Spring 2026. Anything given would be a great help.
Thank you for your prayers and support. I love you dearly. I will remember you and hopefully see you when I am walking across that stage crying tears of joy in May. If I don’t see you then, you will definitely see me on your screens soon!
