Support Marni's Family in Their Time of Crisis

Our dear friend Marni is facing an unimaginable crisis. Her father, Stephen Bressler, recently suffered a catastrophic accident—he fell and broke his neck, resulting in life-threatening injuries. He was airlifted to a specialty hospital where he underwent two major spinal surgeries and a tracheostomy, relying on a ventilator to breathe. He has limited mobility in his upper limbs and no response in his lower body. He has also endured a pulmonary embolism and recurring pneumonia.

After nearly two months, Stephen was finally transferred to McGee, an Acute Spinal Rehab Injury Facility, but according to his doctors, he could be sent back to the ICU anytime, if his blood pressure plummets again.

Stephen’s long-term prognosis remains uncertain. He cannot work, and we don't yet know when—or if—he’ll be able to provide for his family again.

As if this weren’t enough, Marni has also had to hospitalize her mother, for emotional trauma. Marni is now the sole caregiver, managing both her parents' medical needs, their household, and caring for their beloved 14-year-old cat, Pippin—all while trying to keep her own life and business afloat. Marni is an only child and her grandparents have passed quite a while ago.

This situation is simply not sustainable without support. We’re raising funds to help Marni with the enormous financial and emotional burden she’s carrying alone.

Donations will go toward:

-Transportation between South Philadelphia and New York for hospital visits and care coordination.

-Rent and utility support, as Marni is unable to work at full capacity.

-Groceries and daily living expenses during this crisis.

-Pippin’s care, including food and veterinary needs.

-An emergency savings fund for medical and unforeseen costs related to this tragedy.
