Hello, my name is Chris, and I’m starting this fundraiser for my wife, Marnee Newman—the love of my life and my best friend of 24 years.
On March 16, 2026, our world was turned upside down when Marnee was diagnosed with high-grade serous carcinoma. Nothing can truly prepare you for hearing the word “cancer,” and from that moment on, everything changed. We are just beginning this fight and working closely with her doctors to figure out the best path forward, but the road ahead feels overwhelming.
If you know Marnee, you know she is full of life. She has the most outgoing, bubbly personality and truly never meets a stranger. Whether you’ve known her for years or just met her once, she leaves an impression that makes you feel like family. People are naturally drawn to her kindness, her laughter, and her energy—she’s the kind of person everyone loves being around.
She loves the simple things in life—fishing, camping, sitting under the stars—and she’s an amazing pool player. She finds joy in the little moments that so many of us take for granted. Even now, in the face of this diagnosis, she is staying strong and keeping a positive outlook. That’s just who she is.
She also has a 35-year-old daughter who loves her dearly, and together, we are all doing our best to stay strong for one another through this incredibly difficult time.
As we begin this journey, the financial strain has already started to build. Even with insurance, the out-of-pocket costs for doctor visits, treatments, and medications are more than we can handle on our own. On top of that, everyday living expenses don’t stop, and we are struggling to keep up.
It’s not easy to ask for help, but right now, we truly need it. Any donation—no matter the amount—or even sharing this page would mean everything to us. Your support will help ease some of the financial burden so we can focus on what matters most: Marnee’s fight and her healing.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for taking the time to read our story. Your kindness, prayers, and support mean more than words can express.
