Support Marley’s Path to Healing

Hey y'all,

So this is something I have been putting off for the past few years. Longer, if I'm to be honest with myself. I have been fighting to get myself moved back out of my parents home for years, after my chronic illnesses and chronic pain landed me back here in 2013. I saw myself begin to get better, got into what ended up being an extremely abusive relationship, dug my way out with the help of incredible friends, and have found myself now a victim of my parents unhealed trauma. I have been doing my best to stick it out, be an advocate for my youngest sister and to attempt to get my parents to get themselves and her into therapy so their home can go from a war path, to the safe space a home deserves to be.

With the passing of my grandmother this past week, I've decided to set aside my pride and just do the hard thing: to ask for help. I know that I cannot continue to heal and move forward in my own depression and cptsd under their roof, and I want more than anything to heal. To not continue to allow my trauma to be what defines me and for that, I have to leave. I have to fly from the nest and fly far far away. I plan to land near two of my best friends and to allow that space and community to begin to mend my heart in ways I know I desperately need. I will also continue my work on my asmr channel and as a VA and writer. Work I have been so passionate about but am becoming too depressed to continue by staying where I'm at.

And if you can give anything at all, a dollar even, it helps and I cannot wait to show you all the dreams I've been building on behind the scenes but too busy with my degrading mental and physical health to accomplish.
