Support Marlena's Stroke Recovery
Donation protected
On the morning of May 4, 2025, Marlena McGrade suffered a severe stroke that left her life changed forever, and both her and her family need help!
Marlena is 48 years old and is the mother of three, including having been the primary caregiver to both her son Dean and her disabled brother, Jared. The unexpected stroke came at a stressful time and, while Marlena's condition is stable, the severity of the stroke presents an incredibly difficult road ahead.
Immediately following the stroke, Marlena spent over the better part of two weeks in the Wake Forest Neurosciences ICU, then moving to Mill Creek Rehab in Winston-Salem, NC. Despite the best efforts of doctors and nurses, she remains unable to walk or stand on her own or care for her daily needs – much less so that of her family.
Marlena and her family are facing increasing medical expenses for treatments, physical and cognitive therapy, daily living costs, and the costs of caring for her disabled brother. This is all adding quickly, and the effects will be felt for many years to come. Your generous donations, whatever they may be, make a big difference in alleviating some of the financial burden on Marlena and her family – Chuck, Samantha, Dean, and Jared – to give them the time and resources needed for her to heal and recover.
Thank you for your kindness and support during this difficult time!
