Marlen is originally from Guatemala. She came to the United States in 2023 with the hope of building a safer and more stable life for herself and her children. After surviving years of hardship and domestic violence, Marlen made the difficult decision to leave and seek a different path—one where she could live with dignity and work toward a better future.

Since arriving in the United States, Marlen has worked hard and done everything she could to follow the legal process for her immigration case. She has been committed to supporting her family and saving money to pay for an immigration lawyer to guide her through her case.

In February 2026, Marlen went to a routine immigration check-in, something she had done before as part of her process. Instead of returning home that day, she was detained by immigration authorities.

Marlen did not have the opportunity to say goodbye to her two young children, who are just 4 and 8 years old. Overnight, her family was thrown into uncertainty as they now face the possibility of separation and deportation.

This fundraiser has been created to support Marlen during this incredibly difficult time. Funds will help cover the costs of her legal defense as she continues to fight her case and do everything possible to remain with her children.

Marlen no tuvo la oportunidad de despedirse de sus dos hijos pequeños, de apenas 4 y 8 años. De un momento a otro, su familia quedó enfrentando una gran incertidumbre y el dolor de una posible separación y deportación.
