Marlando Nugent attended St. Andrew Technical High School (STATHS) from 1991 to 1994, and was also a Class Prefect. He was an outstanding athlete as a member of the track and field team, and placed 5th in the boys 200m finals at the 1992 Boys and Girls Championship in Jamaica.

Marlando had a heart attack back in December 2024, and has multiple partially blocked arteries. He is now living with the risk of critical heart failure at anytime. Marlando needs a triple bypass surgery to repair his arteries urgently. The cost is JA$2.3M. Insurance will cover about $1M, but he has to pay the remaining JA$1.3M before the surgery will be scheduled.

With Marlando's permission, I created this crowdfunding project to help him to raise the funds that he needs to schedule his surgery. I am popularly known as Screechy (Class of 1992) and a track and field teammate of Marlando.
