"And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose." Romans 8:28

On Monday, November 3 our dad, Mark, went in for an angioplasty procedure after months of chest pain and no answers. Due to the number of blockages in his heart, he needed open-heart surgery the next day. On Tuesday, November 4, Dad underwent triple bypass surgery in Bismarck.

Friday, November 14, Dad was having major pain and redness in his leg from the vein removal. We feared it may be an infection and with Dad being a diabetic it is critical to get it treated. Not feeling certain it was just an infection Dad went to the ER and they found a blood clot in his right leg. He started blood thinners and will need to continue them for 6 months. More trials and tribulations.

Romans 12:12 ~ Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer.

Monday, November 17 Heading to Bismarck for Dad's first follow up appointment.

Friday, November 28 THE KIDS AND I GOT TO SEE DAD/GRANDPA TODAY!! Dad had a follow up appointment at Sanford Bismarck and we were in town for Thanksgiving! The kids were tickled to get to see him. Dad has been having trouble breathing and not feeling the best. His EKG did not come back as we hoped. His heart is going into afib and the surgical DR is not sure why. Dad will need to wear a heart monitor for 2 weeks and rerun labs in a week. Please continue your prayers.

Isaiah 41:10 "So do not fear, for I am with you... I will strengthen you and help you"

As this procedure was unforeseen, Faith and Mark were not able to make plans or save ahead of time. Dad retired (again) earlier this year and Faith is taking FMLA leave to help because Dad can't drive for up to 6-8 weeks. With unexpected medical and hotel expenses, future travel to Bismarck for follow-ups, with more potential hotel stays and fuel for appointments. We have set a goal of $7,000 and are rallying the troops for help paying medical bills, travel expenses, and loss of income.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts anyway you are able to help.
-Ashley, Jaci, Faith and Mark
