A Fight for Recovery: From Sepsis to Broken Bones

Hi, my name is Mark Stebbins and I’m reaching out in one of the darkest times of my life. Over the

past year, I have had 3 surgeries 2 emergency room visits 4 urgent care visits .4 months in a facility for my surgery aftercare.I am now receiving home after care for my continued recovery. To put this in a mild way. I hate to admit that

my health has spiraled through one devastating challenge after another, leaving me physically and emotionally drained.

It began with COVID, followed by shingles, which led to cellulitis, and then Sepsis—a life threatening reaction to any infection in the human body

that nearly cost me my legs. After intense hospital care, I faced months of wound treatment and the discovery of blood clots in both legs. Just as I began to see a glimmer of hope, a severe fall shattered my kneecap and clavicle. I crawled on the floor for 4 days with no water or food then finally getting my neighbors dog attention this helped me get rescued and saved my life.My first knee surgery failed, and I endured a second, even more invasive operation to repair the damage.

Now, I am left with mounting medical bills, limited mobility, and the overwhelming task of rebuilding my life.

Why I Need Your Help

I am seeking support to cover:

• Ongoing medical treatments, physical therapy, and medications. All of these treatments are now done at my home with home medical care.

• Medical cleaning supplies and pads for my daily baths as well as my wound treatment. a walker and wheelchair.

• Mental health resources to cope with the trauma
