Mark Slusher has been my friend for 15 years, and in that time, he’s become a pillar of our church community. He’s volunteered as a bass player in our ministry and has always been ready to lend a hand in the media department. Mark’s kindness and willingness to help others goes far beyond monetary support—he’s the kind of person who shows up, assists, and becomes part of something bigger than himself. As a single parent, he’s also raised a wonderful daughter who is now in college, all while giving so much to those around him.

In September, Mark’s life changed dramatically when he lost his leg below the knee due to complications from diabetes. Since then, he’s been unable to work and is currently recovering in a nursing home, facing a long road to recovery. The sudden loss of income and mounting medical bills have made this time even more challenging for him. Mark now needs a prosthetic leg to regain his independence, but the costs are overwhelming.
