Dear friends, family, and community,

On what started off as a normal day, my husband Mark and our daughter Journey were involved in a devastating rollover car accident. Their vehicle rolled four to five times down a ditch off the highway. Journey’s injuries included a concussion, bruising on her brain, a sore back, and some cuts and scrapes. Mark's injuries were life-threatening. At the scene, he was struggling to breathe due to a punctured lung. Mark was intubated for at least 24 hours, and his injuries included a broken pelvis, a fractured spine, and multiple lacerations in his torso. He underwent a major eight-hour surgery performed by both a pelvic and a spine surgeon. Mark is very truly blessed to be here with us today.

The road ahead is long—Mark will need to learn how to walk again, and his recovery is expected to take six months to a year. Mark has always been the primary breadwinner for our family. We are reaching out to our friends, family, and community for financial help. The funds raised will go directly toward Mark and Journey’s medical bills, living expenses, and the rehabilitation Mark needs to regain his strength and mobility. Any amount donated truly helps and brings us closer to stability. We are so grateful for your support and kindness during this difficult time.
