Help Mark get to the starting line!
Mark has always lived life in motion. A lifelong athlete and fitness enthusiast, he’s spent years pushing himself through half-marathons, triathlons, and obstacle course races.
In July 2015, after finishing a triathlon, Mark was misdiagnosed with pneumonia. He kept racing, unaware that something far more serious was unfolding. Over the next three months, his health rapidly declined. In October 2015, a shocking diagnosis changed everything: dilated cardiomyopathy.
Fast forward to June 2016… Mark finally got “the call.” and was given the ultimate gift —a new heart— and a second chance at life.
Through every life-altering twist, Mark’s unwavering positivity carried him forward. Recovery was anything but easy. The road has been long and bumpy, and for the past five years, additional health complications left him with very limited mobility.
Then came another miracle.
A few months ago, Mark received a spinal cord stimulator and regained his mobility… and along with it, hope, independence, and a renewed belief in what’s possible.
Now, Mark is chasing a dream that once felt out of reach: competing in the 2026 Transplant Games this June. What seemed impossible just months ago is now firmly within sight… because Mark has never stopped proving that resilience, gratitude, and determination can overcome even the greatest odds.
Help Mark get to the starting line, honor the selfless donor who gave him this second chance, and show what life after transplant can truly look like.
Donate today and be part of Mark’s journey. Your donation supports his training, travel, and competition, turning gratitude into action.
