Our dear friend, Mark Harenda, is facing an unexpected and serious health challenge, and we're reaching out to ask for your support.

About a week ago, Mark was admitted to the hospital after experiencing symptoms that led to a concerning discovery: his heart function is significantly weakened. His medical team is working diligently to provide the best care for this critical situation.

Mark is currently under the care of heart specialists and will likely be using a temporary, wearable device to monitor his heart and provide immediate support if needed. He's also started on important medications with the hope that his heart function will improve over the coming weeks.

Mark faces a crucial period ahead. Depending on how his heart responds to treatment in the coming weeks, further medical interventions may be necessary to ensure his long-term heart health. While these interventions are life-saving, they can come with significant life changes, and potentially impact his ability to work in his current profession.

As you can imagine, a week (and counting) in the hospital, specialized cardiac care, ongoing medications, and the potential for future treatments come with substantial medical bills. Beyond these immediate costs, Mark is facing time away from work during his recovery, and the uncertainty of the future is a heavy burden for him and his loved ones.

We are setting up this GoFundMe to help alleviate the immense financial stress so Mark can focus entirely on what's most important: his health, his recovery, and giving his heart the best chance to heal.
