Hello all, my name is Kaylee a life long friend of the family.

Mark was taken by ambulance to Pennock Hospital after waking up completely paralyzed.

The doctors ran numerous tests Monday to rule out a stroke or meningitis, and thankfully, neither was found. However, due to the severity of his condition, he was transferred to Blodgett Hospital in Grand Rapids.

Mark was running a very high fever of 105°F, still had no movement, and was unable to speak. They wrapped him in cold packs to bring the fever down, but his breathing became labored, the medical team made the decision to place him into a medically induced coma and intubated him to support his breathing. They planned to keep him in the coma for two days and then slowly bring him out of it today we got news that he had a blood clot move from his leg to his lungs he is in critical condition and he is now being transferred to another hospital to go in for emergency

We are asking for your prayers and support for this family during an incredibly difficult time. Mark, the sole provider for his family, is currently facing a critical health battle. Anyone who knows Mark knows that he would give the shirt off his back to help someone in need — now, it’s our turn to support him.

Right now, his family is in need of financial assistance to help cover bills and the cost of traveling back and forth to be with their two children. If you are able to contribute in any way, it would mean the world to them.
