Markis and Alyssa, my best friend and her fiancé, were looking forward to their wedding in June and what was supposed to be the most exciting year of their lives. Everything changed suddenly when Markis started the week with an ER visit, and things quickly spiraled. Last night, he was airlifted to St Joes. Hospital in Tampa for emergency surgery due to a brain bleed. It’s been a terrifying and uncertain time for both of them, and their loved ones are rallying around to offer support in any way possible.

With Markis in the hospital and Alyssa by his side, they are now facing a sudden loss of income. As if it’s not hard enough to stay afloat with no income, they will also be facing mounting medical bills and unexpected expenses. With most head injuries, recovery is often long and uncertain, adding to the stress and worry they are experiencing. This is a time that should have been filled with joy and anticipation, but instead, they are navigating a frightening and overwhelming situation.
