Support Markida’s Recovery After House Fire

On Sunday morning, my daughter Markida’s life changed in an instant. A devastating house fire left her with severe burns, and she is now receiving treatment at a burn center in Augusta. Her two young daughters witnessed the traumatic event, and the memory of seeing their mother so badly hurt will stay with them for a long time. As Markida faces a long road to recovery, she is unable to be home with her girls for Christmas, and the family is struggling to cope with the emotional and financial aftermath.
Markida unfortunately does not have insurance, so her medical bills will be extreme. While she is in the hospital, I am caring for her daughters and their beloved dog, Brownie. The funds raised will help cover Markida’s medical expenses, provide for her girls’ needs, and ensure Brownie is safe and cared for. Every donation will go directly to supporting Markida’s recovery and her family’s immediate needs during this incredibly difficult time.
Markida desperately needs your help right now. We are grateful for every prayer, every kind word, and every bit of support. All donations will be managed by me for Markida’s girls and medical needs. She will be having surgery this morning, and I will share updates as she continues her journey to healing. Thank you for standing with us.
