Support Mark Tobias in His Cancer Battle

We are raising funds to help Mark Tobias with expenses while he goes through medical treatment. Mark is from the Hammondsport area, currently lives in Bath. He and his wife, Rhonda own a farm where they always have outdoor projects going. They have five kids combined Sara (Wyatt), Bobby (Trina), Mark (Melissa), Denny and Marissa (Justin). Their days are always made when any of their ten grandchildren come to visit. He has been a dedicated worker at Dr. Konstantin Franks Winery, since he was a teenager, working his way up to vineyard manager. Mark is always working hard to help others and now is when we would like to show him some support to repay him. Last year he was diagnosed with lung cancer. In December he had this surgically removed, along with an entire lobe of lung. He was told they got it all and things were looking up, we had finally beat it! Then they did some follow up imaging. On this scan they discovered more areas of concern on his tounge/throat and lymph nodes. After more testing the lymph nodes came back clear but the biopsy on the tounge was positive for cancer. As we go into the fight again they tell us this one cannot be simply removed, so chemo and radiation is the recommended treatment. We have gone through many hurdles already thinking we are close to getting rid of this disease. He has undergone procedures to place a port and gastro tude, along with extensive dental work to prepare for the treatment. Now upon more imaging they are seeing some further areas of concern. We are staying optimistic that it is nothing or easily treatable still. So now we have to wait a bit longer for further results. With all of these medical procedures, tests and days off to go to appointments the bills are adding up. The last thing we want to see is him stress or struggle with the financial burden right now. We are asking our community to help him durring this time and raise what we can so he can use his energy and time to fight and heal!
