Support Mark Stender

On May 12th Mark and, his wife, Linda got news that Mark was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkins lymphoma, leukemia and basal cell carcinoma. Leading up to this point Mark was in ideal health. His love for running and being active outdoors is the only reason there was suspicion that something was wrong when he found a lump on his abdomen that Mark thought could be a hernia. To continue his love for running he decided to get the lump checked out. The tumor had grown so quickly between appointments with the doctor that the medical team got him started on chemotherapy immediately. Mark will continue to have treatment once a month for six months. 
The bills were submitted through their insurance. Knowing they had a high deductible, Mark and Linda had put money aside in their HSA. Unfortunately on June 4th Linda found out that the hospital where Mark received his testing and treatment is now out of network with their insurance. So now they will be responsible for not only the high deductible but for a percentage of the cost of Mark's treatment. 
Because of the Corona virus both Mark and Linda are not able to go back to work and have yet to receive one payment of unemployment after multiple attempts. All of this will cost a great deal of money, and the even the full extent of costs are still unknown. We do know that this will be a long journey and Mark could use your prayer, love and support during this difficult time. We realize this is awkward and uncomfortable for Mark and Linda to ask for help, so their children are lovingly asking on their behalf with their parents' blessing.
