Roberts Family Faith, Hope and Healing
My Brother in Law, Mark Roberts was diagnosed with Acinar Cell Pancreatic cancer in October,2024. Acinar Cell Pancreatic cancer is a very rare aggressive cancer which will require several rounds of Chemotherapy. Mark is a self employed flooring and tile contractor and his loving wife Helen is a nurse. Together, Mark and Helen have raised five wonderful children and have been blessed with four grandaughters. Mark continues to work through his diagnosis and treatment, and Helen has stepped away from her job as a nurse to care for the challenges of this devastating diagnosis and the multiple health challenges that come with pancreatic cancer. Although they have health insurance , the cost of copayments and medications is over $6000 per month in out of pocket payments for the next 24 months at Memorial Sloan Kettering Hospital in New York City, 2 1/2 hours from their home in Pennsylvania.
People that are blessed to know Mark, know that he has a servants heart and has helped numerous friends, family and relatives in their time of need with his generosity and talents. Mark always has been the pillar of strength for his family leading them with kindness and faith through numerous health and life challenges. At only 58 years old, Mark is an amazing devoted Husband, Father, Father in law, Grandfather, Brother, Uncle, friend and colleague always knowing what to do to make any situation better in any circumstance for family and friends alike. He has touched so many people in his life with his honest work ethic and exemplary values of integrity and faith that he has modeled for his family and friends.
In support of this deserving family, first we are humbly asking for your prayers of healing and courage for Mark and his family. The Roberts Family strongly believes the faith and God honoring courage in one person can ignite it in others. "Those who trust in the Lord are unshakable... Psalms 125:1-5" . If you find it in your heart to donate, your financial support of any amount is humbly appreciated for Mark and his family in his time of need and will be used to defer the costs of life sustaining pancreatic enzymes, rare novel antibiotic treatment for complications (Dificid) , travel, lodging and other medical medical expenses for his treatment and care.
Above all, please continue to pray for comfort, hope and blessings of courage and faith for this wonderful family.
