Hi, my name is Hannah, and I’m reaching out on behalf of my husband, Mark Rakanovic, who is currently fighting a very aggressive and life-changing battle with cancer.

Just recently, Mark was diagnosed with embryonal carcinoma, a rare and fast-growing form of testicular cancer. He has already undergone surgery to remove one of his testicles in an effort to slow the spread. Despite our hopes for a contained diagnosis, we’ve learned that the cancer has already spread to his lymph nodes.

But his journey has become even more complicated. He was recently admitted to the hospital, this time with malignant hydronephrosis—a serious condition caused by the cancer blocking his kidney, leading to severe pain and risk of kidney damage.

On top of all this, Mark will soon begin chemotherapy, an intense and exhausting process that will require even more time away from work and may bring a range of side effects. This next phase in his treatment is critical, but also incredibly challenging.

As you can imagine, this has turned our lives upside down. Mark is unable to work while undergoing treatment and recovery. The medical bills and everyday living expenses are quickly adding up. We are doing everything we can, but we can’t do it alone.
