First, thanks again to all who have shown love and support to my brother, Mark Phillips, as he goes through this difficult time. As many of you may know, he suffered a massive heart attack this past week. As we move forward, we are trying to navigate how we are going to maintain a steady household income without any of us currently able to work. Back story. 4-5 yrs ago, Mark’s wife, Denise suffered a life altering stroke. Since then, Mark has had to give up regular work to care for her and the kids. (13 & 8 yrs old). In order to maintain some semblance of a lifestyle, I, John, Mark’s twin brother, left my teaching position in Florida, and moved to Rochester, NY to assist with their financial and daily living struggles. We have basically been living month to month, without the ability to gain momentum in our savings plan. Now that Mark will be unable to perform the daily care, I will need to postpone my work, and income in order to assist with all of his family’s needs, as well as the intensive care Mark will need over the next 2 months. I am calling on any of you who may be able to assist us during this difficult time. We are looking to maintain our regular income over the next two months to keep our lives moving. We will be losing around $6,000 a month in income. So, our goal is to raise $12,000 to help pay for all our monthly bills: Mortgage, car payments, electric and gas, food, child expenses, and basically any bills accrued during those months. We are asking for any assistance. The amount doesn’t matter. Even a $5 donation will be greatly appreciated. With enough support, these donations will go a long way in allowing us to relieve the stress of this tragic event. Giving Mark and his family the comfort and security they need, as he rehabs and works toward starting a new and healthy life with his family. God bless all of you!
