Mark and Mindy's lives were changed forever on a recent weekend ride. While on their motorcycle, they were struck on the side by an impaired driver. Both were immediately airlifted, separately, to UT Medical Trauma Center with critical injuries.
Their Current Battle:
The journey ahead is long and difficult. Mindy has suffered a devastating injury, resulting in the amputation of her leg, and has successfully completed her fourth surgery.
Mark's medical journey has been complex as doctors work to stabilize his blood levels and vitals to determine the next steps for his own critical injuries.
If you know Mark, you know his work ethic: he routinely works two jobs, only taking Sundays off. Their income and stability have come to an abrupt halt, all because of one person’s senseless act.

This tragedy has created an enormous financial burden that will hang over them for years. Your generous donation will go directly toward the following immediate and future needs:
- Medical Bills & Therapy: Covering extensive hospital costs, rehabilitation, and long-term physical and occupational therapy.
- Prosthetics: Funding the cost of a prosthetic leg for Mindy and the necessary follow-up care.
- Home Modifications: Their current home is two stories, and the bedroom is upstairs. Funds are desperately needed to make urgent renovations (like a first-floor bedroom and bathroom access) to allow Mindy to return home and safely navigate their living space.
- Essential Care: Paying for help with their extensive property, land, and farm animals while they are both recovering.
- Long-Term Care: Assisting with the care of Mindy's mother, whom she cares for in their home.
