UPDATE: We are heartbroken to report Linda has lost her battle with cancer and went to be with her Lord on 3/27/26. We are continuing this fundraiser to help her family with funeral expenses and many other financial restraints they are facing. Thank you for your love and support.

Right now, a family in our community is facing one of the hardest battles imaginable — cancer. What began as a medical diagnosis has quickly turned into an emotional, physical, and financial fight they never asked for. We are sharing this GoFundMe to help the TAYLOR FAMILY — Mark and Melinda (“Linda”). As many of you know, they recently received the devastating news that Linda’s cancer has returned with vengeance. They are asking for prayers for a miracle as her condition has worsened to the point where she is no longer able to work. Mark now serves as her full-time caretaker. While everyday expenses continue without pause, the emotional and financial weight on this family has become overwhelming. They are fighting with everything they have to stay strong — but they cannot do this alone. They are currently on the verge of losing their home and are actively searching for a more affordable place to live. Mark receives disability benefits, which unfortunately do not come close to covering basic living expenses. Linda's disability benefits will not kick in until May which may be too late. It is a long and difficult process — and even then, it will not be enough to meet their needs. Anyone who knows Mark and Linda knows they are proud, kind-hearted people who would never ask for help unless circumstances were truly dire. That time is now. THIS IS WHERE WE COME IN! Every donation — no matter how small — will go directly toward medical bills, housing needs, daily living expenses, and the countless unexpected costs that come with a cancer diagnosis. If you are unable to donate, sharing this fundraiser is just as meaningful and helps spread the word! Let’s remind Mark and Linda that they are not alone, that their community stands beside them, and that hope is stronger when we carry it together. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your kindness, prayers, and support for this truly wonderful family in their time of greatest need. ~ Wendy & Destanie
