Support Mark Klug's Road to Recovery

My name is Darlene Klug and my husband, Mark Klug was involved in an unknown incident in September. Unfortunately, this incident happened in a location where MPD and local businesses were unable to pull camera footage to give us and Mark himself any type of closure to what happened to him.

If you know Mark, you know that he is very dedicated to his job, family and doing anything he can for those he loves. Unfortunately, he is currently not able to things for others and is needing help himself. Mark was found lying on a cement corner unknown what had happened to him and has and is suffering from multiple injuries as a result. He has a severe brain injury, swelling/bleeding/bruising on the brain, suffered a severe concussion and 2 fractures to his skull. In addition, due to his injury he suffered a mild stroke. He also has a fractured orbital bone, fractured sinus cavity and hematoma on his left eye. Needless to say, we are thankful he is alive but is on a long road to recovery.

Mark is now home and requires assistance. He can’t walk without a walker (currently but hoping long term he will overcome that hurdle), still has quite a bit of pain in his head, sensitive to light and noise, still gets dizzy when up, exhausted easily and is suffering from short term memory loss. It is obvious that he is not able to work and hasn’t been able to since the incident. We do not know at this time when he will be able to return as this will take time to heal and recover. We currently do not know long term effects of his injury. I also have not been able to work due to having to take care of him.

We are asking for any help we can get to assist with the medical bills that we know are going to be coming due to his hospital stay, continued doctor appointments, physical therapy and continued CT scans required.

We want to sincerely thank all of those who have helped, sent things, called, visited, and continue to show they care. It means the world to him and us knowing so many are behind seeing him fully recover to the Mark we know and love.
