It is with profound sadness and shock that we found out that my best friends brother Mark Curtis, was found outside his residence covered in snow the day after the February 2026 Blizzard.

His sister saw the news report and recognized the address as her brother. Marks body was found by the crew that was shoveling for the complex. We still don’t know what happened and His autopsy is pending.

Mark Curtis was a loving brother and uncle, always trying to help anyone in need. He was known for his generosity and kindness. Mark touched the lives of everyone around him. He served his country for six years in the Army, where he gained the rank of Sergeant. His dedication to helping others extended far beyond his Military service—he was always willing to lend a hand to anyone who needed it.

Mark was only 65. His family is heartbroken and facing the unexpected challenge of covering all of his funeral expenses.

We were hoping for a proper Military Funeral but were advised that since he was not in a war that it was not covered.

During this incredibly difficult time, they are reaching out for support from friends, family, and the community.
