I have been a friend of Mark Christian for over 40 years. We first met in my friend Danny's studio in Orange County and reconnected when I was working at Cherokee Studios and he was playing guitar on the Monkees' 80s album. For the last two years, he has been producing my wife Jenny James on a new group of songs in addition to his gigs with bands.

In March Mark was diagnosed with Myasthenia Gravis which occurs when the body's immune system mistakenly attacks the neuromuscular junction, where nerves and muscles connect, leading to a disruption in the communication between them. This results in fluctuating weakness, often affecting the eyes, face, and throat, and can worsen with activity. Currently Mark is in hospital and has lost a great deal of his Musculature. He is unable to sit up and will probably be in the hospital for many more months. We are trying to raise $40,000 to help cover medical expenses and help him pay his apartment rent, etc., once he is released from the hospital and until he is able to start working again.
