Support Mark and Jordan in this time of need

Hello!

I am raising funds for our friends Mark and Jordan Albiar, a father and son who live out of their car. We met Mark and Jordan by chance when we went to get tacos for lunch. The place that we chose happened to be closed that day and Mark and Jordan were there to grab lunch as well. It was a treat that they have when they can afford it. We started a friendly conversation and they told us about their situation. We have become closer friends to them over the past few months and we want to help them in this time of need.

Mark works full-time and supports both of them. Jordan helps Mark out at work to make things easier for him and less laborious. Mark does not have the best conditions at work, and he takes on multiple tasks. He makes barely enough to support them, and they don't even have a place to live. Oftentimes, they have to ask for money to help scrape by. They don't ask for exorbitant amounts and are very happy with food and clothing.

Mark was admitted to the hospital on December 16th for heart failure. His situation and his responsibility to take care of himself and Jordan give him a lot of anxiety and stress. They do what they can to make ends meet and survive when resources are scarce. Mark is unable to work at the moment, and he is concerned for Jordan and his car that might be taken away. He does not have PTO or sick days at work to use, and his car payments have reached their max amount of deferments for the year. He will have to stay in the hospital to undergo procedures for the time being. His two biggest worries are taking care of Jordan and hopefully keeping the car.

Jordan also has autism, and Mark is his sole provider and caretaker. He helps Mark around work, but he has difficulty working on his own or with others. For the time being, Jordan is able to stay with Mark in the hospital room. We hope this can continue as Jordan has no other caretaker or place to stay.
