Hi, I’m Ashley, and I’m fundraising for my dad, Mark Beals, and his wife, Crystal.

Both of them are fighting devastating illnesses, and I’m trying to make sure they can stay safe, comfortable, and at peace through it all — especially in the home they’ve worked so hard for.

My dad, Mark, was diagnosed with glioblastoma, an aggressive brain cancer. He’s undergone brain surgery, radiation, and chemotherapy, but the cancer has returned. He’s now under hospice care, and I take care of him full-time while also working full-time at my salon. He’s diabetic and bedridden, with circulation issues that cause swelling and skin breakdown, so he requires constant attention and care. He now lives with me, where I can be by his side every day.

His wife, Crystal, is battling stage 4 leiomyosarcoma, a rare and aggressive cancer that has spread to her lungs. She’s endured multiple rounds of chemotherapy and radiation, but the disease continues to progress. She struggles to breathe and is often exhausted, yet she still tries to stay strong for my dad.

They both live on limited income, and between their medical expenses, medications, and everyday bills, the mortgage on their house has become impossible to manage. Right now, Crystal is still living in the home, but when my dad passes, I won’t be able to keep up the payments by myself.

Our goal is to raise $123,000 to pay off the mortgage completely. This would give them peace of mind in their final chapter and allow me to keep their home in the family after my dad is gone.
