In May 2019, we lost my dad very traumatically and unexpectedly. My parents were together almost 50 years when my mom came home to find my dad deceased. It started a 5-year journey of non-stop health events for my mom, Marjorie, including PTSD, cancer, traumatic brain injury, and other life-altering health conditions. Anyone who knows my mom knows she is a classy lady full of spunk, creativity, witty banter, and kindness beyond measure. She is my best friend and has spent her life in service to others through the Daughters of the American Revolution, the Mayflower Society, and working with Veterans.

Over the past 5 years, I have been her sole caregiver and have fought by her side to help her conquer as many health challenges as she can. She is a fighter! Unfortunately, the financial cost for all her treatments and care is astronomical. I have exhausted all my financial resources, and she has used all of hers. I have set up this GoFundMe in hopes that others will be willing to help pay for her medical bills and for her continued care. Since moving her into my home and hiring 1-1 care for her, her health is improving every day (some are very small steps, but every step towards healing is a step in the right direction).
