Support Marjie and Sophie After Hurricane Milton

My name is Gil Glass and I live in Washington, DC. I’m helping to raise money for my friend, Marjorie Stout (Marjie) who lives in the Tampa Bay Area of Florida. She’ll be using the funds for housing, food, and supplies as she and her daughter struggle to get through the coming days following Hurricane Milton.

Marjie and her daughter Sophie have evacuated from their home in Tampa Bay and are staying at a hotel in St Augustine. They’ve been unable to return home after Hurricane Milton landed because there’s almost no electricity, food, nor gas in her city, and in most of the Tampa Bay Area. No idea if her home is safe or if the car is still there. A few months ago, Sophie was in a bad car accident that insurance won’t pay for and they are struggling to pay for the higher insurance rates and payments of another (used) car. Both of them have been out of work for the week and it might be longer depending on electricity service. Some compensation is possible but it won’t be enough at the moment.
